Olympus Zuiko Digital 40-150mm 1:4-5,6 ED is a telephoto zoom lens for Olympus Digital cameras. It was announced in 2006, along with a camera Olympus E-400. It was the second lens from the double kit, with the Olympus Zuiko Digital 14-42mm 1:3,5-5,6 ED.

Size is almost the same as the Olympus Zuiko Digital 14-42mm 1:3,5-5,6 ED, the design is very similar.
When lens zoomed, front part extends by 8 cm.
The lens has an internal focus and does not change its size during focusing.
When focusing and zooming, the front element does not rotate. The lens includes a petal lens hood LH-61D.

The lens has a good sharpness.

Focal length is convenient for shooting portraits. The photo is artistic, because of the noticeable blurring the background.
Bokeh is nice, but nothing special stands out. The lens has an almost 4-x zoom.

An example at a 150mm from the same place. The effective focal length of the lens on a 4/3" sensor and a crop factor of 2 is equal to 80-300 on full frame. But this does not mean that it also brings the lens to the focal length of 300mm angle just less EGF only affects framing.
But still nice to have even such an approximation. With such small dimensions and the range is well suited for outdoor shooting.
MFD of the lens is 90 cm. This allows you to take a good close-up, almost like a macro.
At the long end in the aperture, f/5.6 can achieve good blurring of the background.
